Welcome to the world of RING SLINGs, POUCHES, MEI TAIS and ONBUHIMOS Kangoogoo, the world of modern parents who take advantage of beautiful moments of parenthood and their children, who nestled up against them, become calm and feel safe and secure.

Carrying children is nothing new after all. Since time immemorial parents have transported their kids in this way. When prams appeared, this primal means of baby transport was outshone by them for some time,

…but why don’t we get back to this great invention and supplement our wheeled vehicles with soft baby carriers or ring slings, if:

  • Our kids become calmer and secure; have access to necessary stimuli; they can see, hear, feel and taste us or fall asleep to the rhythm of her mother’s beating heart (just like it used to be in the womb)

  • Moms also feel safer and comfortable while having their darlings right next to them and feeling their smell but not feeling unnecessary burden, backache or tied hands

  • Carried child grows faster while observing the world from parents’ perspective, watching faces, body language and reactions and listening to whispered words

  • From the perspective of infant anatomy and physiology, children are born with naturally rounded spine and immature hip joints. Therefore in such an early period the natural position for them is directing the body towards the carrying person, with slightly rounded back and wide spread legs (the ‘frog’ position)

  • During feeding a baby wrapped in a sling gives full comfort regardless of a place of ‘meal’ and makes mom feel comfortable and discreet

  • Carrying is an excellent therapy for premature babies who need special closeness and warmth and for adopted children to make good that closeness

  • Transporting infant prevents ‘the syndrome of flat head’ as well – a child does not spend hours in a lying position but sleeps nestled up to his mom or dad

  • All this information is supported by the authority of scientists-psychologists, pediatricians, physiotherapists.
